US-G/6, 4mm

Gauge:
22 sts x 12 rows = 4” [10 cm] in dc

Other supplies:
Yarn needle
3 5/8″ buttons

ch – chain
dc – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
sp(s) – space(s)
st(s) – stitch(es)

Pattern:
Row 1: Ch 74, dc in 4th ch from hook and each remaining ch. – {72 dc}
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout) skip 1, dc in next 2 sts, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next st, *dc in next 3 st, skip 2, dc in next 3 sts, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next st; repeat from * until 4 sts remain, dc in next 2 sts, skip 1, dc in last st. – {80 dc}
Row 3: Ch 3, skip 1, dc in next 3 sts, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp, *dc in next 4 sts, skip 2, dc in next 4 sts, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp; repeat from * until 5 sts remain, dc in next 3 sts, skip 1, dc in last st. – {96 dc}
Row 4: Ch 3, skip 1, dc in next 4 sts, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp, *dc in next 5 sts, place marker, skip 2, dc in next 5 sts, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp; repeat from * until 6 sts remain, dc in next 4 sts, skip 1, dc in last st. – {112 dc}

Finishing:
Sew on 3 bottons and use the natural spaces in edge of the cape as button holes.
